Vinoy Park Proposal // K+A

Adrian had been planning his Vinoy Park proposal to Karla for a long time and all of his hard work truly paid off. Of course the normal elements that can get in the way of any plans, AKA Florida weather, did give us plenty to sweat about. There was a 90% chance of rain on Saturday and it wasn’t budging as we monitored the forecast throughout the week. Although Adrain and I came up with a plan B incase of rain, we really wanted to make his original vision of proposing under the big banyan trees outside of the Museum of Fine Arts in Vinoy Park work. Well thank the lucky stars that the forecast was dry for the morning before a huge system was forecasted to roll through early afternoon. Perfect! A brunch proposal it is!

Karla was at a dental conference a couple blocks away and Adrain said he would meet her for brunch when she was done. He enlisted her friends to drop her off across the street from The Birchwood at the park where he could propose to Karla in front of the massive banyan trees I mentioned earlier. As Karla’s friends dropped her off and Adrian and Karla walked down the sidewalk I followed close behind waiting for Adrain to get down on one knee. This Vinoy Park proposal went as perfectly as it could possible go. Karla was so surprised and of course she said YES! We worked our way around the park for some more photos when I suggested we go to the rooftop of the Birchwood to get some champagne and take some more photos with the skyline. This was something Adrain and I had planned before because he had all of their friends and family waiting there to congratulate them. As the elevator doors opened to the rooftop, loud cheers erupted from family and friends and Karla was completely surprised! The rest of the afternoon was spent surrounded by so much love, champagne, and Karla showing off her stunning engagement ring. It truly was the most perfect day!
