A

A day a year and a half in the making and we finally made it! The backstory: Rhiannan and Kyle were planning their wedding day for 2020 and maybe you can guess what happens next… oh yeah COVID. Since Rhiannan’s family isn’t local to Florida they wouldn’t be able to make it Florida for their original wedding date. So instead of postponing the wedding or celebrating without Rhiannan’s side of the family, they chose to split their wedding day into two parts! The first part was an elopement in Vero Beach with just Rhiannan, Kyle, the officiant, me, and the ocean. Even though it might have been the windiest day of the year, it was still the perfect day capturing Rhiannan and Kyle become Mr. & Mrs. Hulbert. Fast forward to 2021, it was time to throw the celebration part of their wedding day which brings us to round two! I met up with Rhiannan and Kyle at Hollis Garden for their family and wedding portraits and I got to put on my Lakeland wedding photographer shoes. Even though we got locked outside of the garden we still made the best of it by taking portraits around the area which was still perfectly picturesque. Once we finished, we headed back to Kyle’s family home where the party would be taking place. Rhiannan and Kyle did such an amazing job transforming the house into an ideal indoor/outdoor space for a wedding. Champagne, a table filled with food and desserts galore were lined with greenery centerpieces and photos from their elopement the year before. The outside space featured a bar, photo booth, dance floor, yard games, beer pong, blackjack and roulette! Which were run by professional dealers and was a big hit throughout the night. I think one of my favorite details was the guest “book”. Rhiannan and Kyle set up a huge canvas with paint-filled balloons for guests to throw darts at which created it’s own unique abstract art piece once all the balloons were popped. Such a fun idea and now they have a new art piece for the house that all of their friends and family helped them make. Overall this day was perfect for this Lakeland wedding photographer and I’m so happy I got to capture round two for Mr. & Mrs. Hulbert!
