Poynter Institute Wedding // Mr. & Mrs. Hall
If I had to describe Lauren and Kevin’s Poynter Institute wedding day in three words I would say classy, super fun, and PUGS! My love for all things dogs has already been established but when I get to work with a couple that not only loves their dogs, but also makes their theme all about pugs, I’m more than here for it.
We started the day at the historic Hollander Hotel in Downtown St. Pete where both Kevin and Lauren got ready before we took the trolley to the ceremony site at the stunning Saint Mart Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Lauren shared a first look with her father before he walked her down the aisle where Kevin would see her for the first time. After the ceremony the pugs were waiting to greet their parents all decked out in floral collars and plenty of kisses. Is it a surprise those pictures are probably my favorite out of the entire day? After the pugs got plenty of love and Kevin told them they were no longer bastards ?, it was my turn to whisk (and by whisk I mean briskly walk) the newly weds and their bridal party around downtown which had some amazing places for pictures. We ended up on the USF St. Pete Campus which was ironic because Lauren and Kevin, almost the entire bridal party, and myself all graduated from USF (GO BULLS)!
The reception was held at the Poynter Institute wedding event space which really stopped me in my tracks when I walked through the doors. The architecture, wood beams, high ceilings, and large glass windows really take this venue to the next level. Introductions, first dances, toasts, food, cake, a rad DJ, and plenty of White Claws turned the evening into a party! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Hall! Your Poynter Institute wedding was a blast!
