Wyndham Grand Jupiter Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Nicolois
It’s hard to know where to begin with this story so I think I’ll start off with Kayla and Frank’s engagement. It all started on the water. Frank was a boat captain at SIYachts where he was running a yacht for a trip that Kayla and her whole family were on in Montauk. As Frank put it best, “that’s when she walked into my life. Grabbing her hand, to help her on the boat, that’s when I met this reddish hair, spit fire of a girl. 3 years later, still in love, I knew she was the one to help steer this Captain in the right direction.” The beginning and end (AKA their Wyndham Grand Jupiter wedding) of their story is picture perfect, but the road leading to their wedding day was anything but smooth sailing.
Kayla and Frank were set to get married in Jupiter on April 19th, 2020. However, the world had other plans. With society swiftly shutting down due to COVID and government ordinances in place, their wedding was caught up in the midst of it all. Now let me take a moment to brag about Kayla. Any bride who’s been planning their wedding for over a year, to get so close to the day and then have to reschedule everything it’s just… it’s just insanely unfair. Kayla not only handled the date of her wedding changing with complete grace, but a venue change 3 weeks prior to her new wedding date, AND a hurricane scheduled to hit the east coast within 24 hours of her wedding day. Let us also not forget that on top of all of this planning a wedding mid-pandemic and working around all the guidelines and restrictions in place is a feat in itself. So once again let me say this; Kayla, Frank, and their families are absolute rockstars and I’m certain no one could have handled all the roadblocks they were faced with and come out on the other side of it with an absolutely AMAZING Wyndham Grand Jupiter wedding day!
Now onto the good stuff. Despite a hurricane scheduled to hit in less than 24 hours it was the most beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky. I started the morning at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter wedding venue with the girls in their suite bumping to jams, getting their hair and makeup done, laughing, and fully enjoying the morning. The guys were in the Becan room downstairs suiting up and having some drinks until it was time for the ceremony to start. Kayla was escorted down the aisle by her dad and met at the end by her soon-to-be husband. Ropes were braided, vows and rings were exchanged, and Kayla and Frank became Mr. & Mrs. Nicolois! The rest of the evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, food, drinks and the chicken dance which really got the crowd going. Speaking of dancing, Kayla’s dad recorded himself singing the song for their father-daughter dance and I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the building. After everything this couple went through to get to their wedding I’m so happy it ended up being the prefect day they so deserved. Here’s to only smooth waters ahead Mr. & Mrs. Nicolois!
