Tampa Sunrise Photographer // Kelsey + Jimmy + Axel
Tampa sunrise photographer- that’s me! There’s just something magical about Downtown Tampa at sunrise—the quiet streets, the soft golden light peeking between the buildings, and the feeling that the city is yours for a moment. That’s exactly the kind of morning we had with Kelsey and Jimmy (and their sweet pup Axel!) for their anniversary session. We kicked things off bright and early in front of the Hillsborough County Courthouse. The city was just waking up, which gave us the perfect backdrop of clean lines and classic architecture to start their love story. Kelsey stunned in a chic outfit that popped beautifully against the neutral tones of the courthouse, while Jimmy kept things cool and timeless. Axel, of course, stole the show more than once—decked out in a bowtie and soaking up all the morning attention like a pro. From there, we made our way to Sacred Heart Church. With its striking Romanesque Revival architecture and intricate stone details, it brought an old-world charm to their gallery. The steps of the church made for a perfect place to slow down and let Kelsey and Jimmy just be together, laughing and holding hands as the sun continued to rise. Next up: the historic Le Meridien Hotel, one of Downtown Tampa’s gems. The former courthouse-turned-boutique hotel gave us that perfect mix of elegance and personality, which fits these two to a tee. A few sweet stolen glances, some laughter with Axel, and a quiet moment under the awnings made for some of my favorite shots of the morning. Of course, no Downtown Tampa session is complete without a stop at the iconic Tampa Theatre marquee. It brought a touch of vintage charm and playful energy to the gallery—just like Kelsey and Jimmy themselves. After a quick outfit change, the second half of our session took a whole different turn—laid-back, beachy, and totally fun. Kelsey slipped into a breezy, casual look, complete with heart-shaped sunglasses (yes, they were as adorable as they sound), and Jimmy followed suit with relaxed beachwear vibes. We drove out to Picnic Island Park, where the sandy shoreline, wide-open sky, and breezy palms gave us the dreamiest golden hour to close out the session. Consider me a Tampa sunrise photographer from now on!
