There’s nothing I love more than a Tampa family photos session at Cypress Point Park with Megan and her sweet family! A little back story- I first met Megan at a Mom Walk on a weekday down by Armature Works. We went around the group introducing ourselves and what we do, and Megan and I both said, “wedding photographers.” DING DING DING! All the awkward smalltalk was instantly avoided because we already had mutual careers so that made pairing up with a relative stranger to walk with super easy! After our walk we exchanged Instagrams (how millennial of us) and ever since I’ve loved seeing her work come through my feed! Fast forward to October I reached out and asked Megan if she would be down to do a Tampa family photos session swap and she was just as pumped as I was. As photographers, it’s sometimes rare to get our families in front of the camera even though we spend our lives documenting everyone else’s. Swapping sessions is such a great way to get those yearly photos, work with another photographer, and finally use your work perk- free pics! Megan chose Cypress Point Park for her session because she wanted some classic Florida landscape without actually being on the beach. Cypress Point Park fit the bill perfectly and when I say we could not have gotten a more perfect evening, I mean just look at these pics! I promise this is all real life and nothing AI generated. Honestly Mother Nature really put AI to shame this go-round and we love to see it. This session was more focused on candid moments than posed because that’s just the nature of photo sessions with young kids. Personally I love that vibe, it makes the session feel more authentic by photographing families interacting with each other and the landscape around them. Big love for the Roman family!
